Dental pain rarely waits for business hours, and by the time it's bad enough to call about, the situation is usually already urgent. A cracked tooth exposing the nerve, an abscess forming near the gumline, or uncontrolled bleeding are the kinds of symptoms that shouldn't wait until Monday.
Our emergency line routes you to whichever partner office has same-day or after-hours capacity, not a fixed appointment book. If it's after normal hours, we can often reach an on-call provider directly instead of leaving you with a voicemail.
Waiting out an infection almost never resolves it on its own, and delay tends to turn a simple fix into a more involved, more expensive one. Catching it early, even at an odd hour, is usually what keeps a bad night from turning into a bad week.
On-call coverage exists specifically for calls that come in outside normal office hours.
A quick phone assessment determines whether you need to be seen in the next hour or the next day.
Partner offices take same-visit X-rays to locate fractures, abscesses, or nerve exposure immediately.
Getting you out of acute pain is the first priority of the visit, with a longer-term plan discussed after.
Our network specialists cover the full range of this procedure, from the routine case to the complicated one.
Diagnoses the source — often nerve inflammation or infection — and manages pain the same visit.
If you act within the first hour, a knocked-out tooth can sometimes be re-implanted and stabilized with a splint.
Addresses the acute infection first, then plans definitive treatment once the swelling is under control.
Smooths sharp edges immediately and bonds or caps the tooth to prevent further cracking.
Protects the vulnerable tooth immediately, then plans a permanent restoration if the original piece can't be reused.
When a tooth can't be saved, extraction happens the same visit to stop the source of infection or pain.
A coordinator answers and asks a few quick questions about your specific case and how soon you need care.
We match you with a nearby specialist experienced in this exact procedure and check real-time openings.
You get a clear explanation of the treatment plan and its cost before any work begins.
You leave with the issue addressed and a plan for any next steps already scheduled.
"They walked me through the cost and the procedure before I agreed to anything. Appreciated that."
"Didn't have to wait weeks like my old dentist. Straight to a specialist who knew exactly what to do."
"No upsells, no pressure. Just the treatment I needed at the price I was told."
If you're in significant pain or see swelling, fever, or a tooth that's been knocked loose, call immediately.
Same-day availability depends on the specific symptoms, but urgent pain and swelling are prioritized immediately.
Rinse gently without scrubbing, try to keep it in the socket if possible, and get to the office within the hour if you can.
Yes — new patients are accepted for emergency visits without needing prior history at that office.
Antibiotics are prescribed when there's active infection or swelling, alongside draining the source directly.
Emergency visit pricing is confirmed on the call, whether you have insurance or are paying out of pocket.
We keep an updated roster of specialists across Welch and the surrounding zip codes, so a nearby provider is already in our network.
Licensed to practice in WV, credential-checked before joining the network.
